BC Project Manager
The Role:
The BC Project Manager at Western Computer will play an integral role in driving success with their projects and should possess a proven track record of successful implementations from Analysis through Deployment and Operational Support. You will bring ideas to the table and communicate and cement relationships with your clients and team. The BC PM is responsible for creating the project management plan, as well as coordinating with a Lead PM or other project Senior PM’s or SA’s to ensure that the team is executing project goals as planned, to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project planning and execution:
- Planning, executing, and monitoring projects related to financial processes and supply chain management to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to scope.
- Work with sales team to identify and cultivate opportunities and offer direction during the sales cycle.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables to meet our client’s business needs, while earning our customer’s trust.
- Understand client's resource capabilities and constraints and adjust the project plan accordingly.
- Design and successfully deliver large scale projects activities including but not limited to scheduling, resourcing, backlog management, and proposal development.
- Team Management:
- Support your project teams with continuous guidance, while mentoring team members.
- Coordinate with project SA’s and Lead PM’s to ensure Design and team member tasks are properly engaged to provide the expected solution.
- Co-Manage team activities and project dependencies to ensure on-time project deliverables.
- Organize and facilitate steering committee meetings, project planning meetings, and recurring team meetings.
- Lead and ensure the delivery team is practicing the - implementation methodology including continuous improvement activities and change management.
- Risk management:
- Manage issues and escalations on projects, always demonstrating empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
- Plan and schedule consultants' work and negotiating resolution to resourcing conflicts.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent service and build ongoing relationships with clients, always providing effective communication, and exhibiting the highest degree of integrity.
- Work collaboratively with project teams and clients, including traveling to their locations.
- Continuous Improvement
- Set aside time for self-development by attending training or self-learning on key subjects, always striving to be your best self.
- Contribute to organizational growth and improvement through collaborative process refinement initiatives with other Project Managers, Senior PM’s and EM’s too and other disciplines within the organization.
- Implement process improvement and optimization and changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Who you are:
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology Business Administration, MIS, Business, or equivalent documented work experience.
- Project Management Oversight for BC implementations (2 years minimum)
- 5+ experience with Microsoft Dynamics (focused on Finance & Supply Chain Mgmt. - D365 BC)
- Experience working with Microsoft, ISVs, and integrations.
- Ability to listen to a company’s pains, build a solution vision that shows business value, communicate the benefits of partnering with Western Computer, and convey our ability to achieve the desired outcomes.
- A proven ability to work in a dynamic collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring fellow teammates and/or project management peers. PMP, CSM, or CAPM designation preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Solid interpersonal skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside WC.
- Ability to work seamlessly, independently, and concurrently manage multiple projects.
